I knew it would happen, I just didn't want to believe it. Lo and behold...we didn't make State. They had the top 5 advance on, and guess which band made 6th.

I got all my cussing and anger out last night though, so right now I can think more clearly. The year isn't over, we've got two more performances of it, and then we can move on to concert season.

But still, I feel just really let down having worked my ass off only to not make it. Things like band and other things teach you to work with teams and depend on other people. But when things like that happen, it only reminds me that I prefer doing things myself, that hardly anyone is dependable.
